i didn’t realize until lately
how tired i am
of watching people leapfrog

pushing down on the bars of the chair
i’ve seriously considered adding some spikes
or broken glass
or lengths of barbed wire
i’ve seriously considered verbal abuse
an overly emotional female,
raging in a crowd
but i’m tired
so instead
i’m hoping the haze of smoke from my cigarettes will disorient them
and they’ll fucking miss.
